    The Turkoman group. These are the popular 'red' carpets, comprising the Turkoman, Afghan and Baluchistan rugs made in Central Asia.
    The Caucasian (Russian) group, with geometrical figures for their main decoration.
    The Turkish (Anatolian) group. This type of carpet is now rare in our part of the world.
